The Faint

For many years, whenever I went to see a band, I'd get bored watching the support bands and pretty much ignored them. That was until I went to see Placebo in 2003, and they were supported by The Faint. Even if you didn't like the music, you couldn't help but stare at the stage. For about 40 minutes, the keyboardist's legs moved completely independently from his body. It was amazing! He just danced and danced and danced without moving the top half of his body, meaning he could still play the keyboard. I wish I had that skill.
So whenever I listen to this band, I just dance, in my normal obscure way to their hypnotising, electronic sound.

Honourable Mentions go to -
Frisky & Mannish - These are a pair of amazing artistes who combine all musical genres. I first heard about them in 2011 when I was on the way to the dentist. Someone on the radio was talking about them and played a few clips, so as soon as I got home I did a search for them and I wasn't disappointed. I've seen them live twice (it's well worth seeing them live, as opposed to just listening to them) and I want to see them more. Wrap your ears around Wheels on the Bus.
Fischerspooner - This is not a band to listen to when you have a hangover due to the squeaky, pounding electro tones to their music. But if you ever feel like dancing like a robot, stick these guys on. Wrap your ears around Emerge.
Flobots - These guys emerged with their amazing song Handlebars, but then kind of disappeared which is a shame. But I like them and the way they make hip-hop mean something, rather than a platform to show off about how expensive your car is. Wrap your ears around Fight with Tools.

I LIKE! Never heard of The Faint before today, but they sound nicely punk to my 80's ear :) Thanks for introducing me to them!
