It's all about me, me, me!

The A-Z is over, but now I've moved on and I'm going to Blog Every Day in May, thanks to Jenni.

Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less fewer (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)

Wowzers, exactly 250 words!  I'm great!!

I am born.  Late.  It's the only time in my life I am ever late.  Except if I need to get into town and they're doing maintenance work on the Lowestoft Bascule Bridge.  I go to school.  I get taught that life isn't fair.  I get taught that if you want to succeed, you have to cheat, lie, and steal.  I do the opposite.  I’m not popular.  I take my exams.  I pass.  I’m pleased.  I take more exams.  I fail.  I’m told by the head of my 6th form that I’m a failure.  I want to give up.  I’m 18 and my life is over.  I get told by my mum to either retake my exams at college or to go full-time at McDonalds.  I go to college.  I take my exams.  I pass.  I’m pleased.  I go to university.  I love it so much that, after graduation and a year off to make some money, I go back.  I graduate and I go home.  I choose to forget most of my 20s.  I work.  I don’t work.  I work.  I don’t work.    I work.  I get a dog.  I love her.  I write a book.  I write another book.  I self-publish.  I volunteer.  I love it.  Not enough to marry it; but it does make me feel warm and fuzzy.  I bake.  I knit.  I swim.  I walk.  I daydream.  I occasionally get on a plane and see what the rest of the world is getting up to.

Me and a friend (from Easter Island) both on holiday in Japan

  1. An eventful life. I'd like to forget my 20s, but they keep popping up to haunt me. :)
