I'm Sorry, So Sorry

Blog Every Day In May, they said.  So I did, and still do.

Day 13, Monday: Issue a public apology. This can be as funny or as serious or as creative as you want it to be.

Firstly, as soon as I read that this was today's prompt, one song went round and round in my head so I thought I'd share it with you.

And now for my apology.  I'd like to apologise to all the people who bullied me at school.

I'm sorry for being tall.
I'm sorry for being thin.
I'm sorry for having acne.
I'm sorry that my parents couldn't afford a new car.
I'm sorry for being an only child.
I'm sorry for doing well at school.
I'm sorry for not having braces.
I'm sorry for wearing glasses.
I'm sorry for having straight hair.
I'm sorry for being happy.
I'm sorry for wearing colourful clothes.
I'm sorry for not being very sporty.
I'm sorry for having freckles.
I'm sorry that all of these things made your lives so difficult that you felt the need to make my life so difficult.

And most of all, I'm sorry that I never stood up to you and gave you a taste of your own medicine.

  4. Revenge is a dish best served cold, hunt them down and your see how sad their lives are now. Then you can laugh at them.

  5. What a great way of getting to the heart of the matter! And that last line is the best!

    1. Thank you very much. It takes a while to realise that all the things the bullies bullied you about aren't actually your fault!

  6. Kids (and even adults) can be the worst. And the best revenge truly is living well. So sorry to hear you went through something like that.

    1. I know! But I've managed to move on, and sometimes I think that the bullies made me a better person, because I now know for sure the right way to treat people.

  9. Kids can be so damn mean. It sounds like you definitely have overcome all of that though. :)
