H is for ... Hawthorne Heights

Today is 9th April, so here is my eighth post for the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge.  This year I am sharing my musical tastes with you.  I hope I can introduce you to some new bands/artistes, and if you'd like to comment perhaps you could introduce me to some of your favourite bands/artistes beginning with the appropriate letter of the day.  For more music, please have a look at my last.fm profile.

Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights is probably the most emo band in my CD collection, but every now and then it's nice to feel lonely and unloved, just so that you can have a bit of a cry.  You can play these songs really loudly and sing along just as loudly, feeling sorry for yourself.

Honourable Mentions go to -

Har Mar Superstar - If you like songs that sound like they should be in 1970s porn films sung by a man who looks like he should be in 1970s porn films, then this is the man for you.  Wrap your ears around You Can Feel Me (please be warned that there are a few expletives in this song).

Howie Day - I do like a good singer/song-writer, especially when you can hear the pain they're going through.  It makes you feel like you're not alone.  Wrap your ears around Sorry So Sorry.

Hilltop Hoods - Another band introduced to me by an ex-boyfriend.  I'd never really listened to hip-hop, after being turned off the genre by American's talking about bling and bitches.  This band is so much better than all that.  Wrap your ears around The Sentinel.

  1. I don't mind listening to some Hawthorne Heights now and again, too.
